Next day delivery from Andrew James, which impressed me. Lovely looking hob, very sleek with a glossy ceramic cooking area. Works very well, fan a bit noisy but that's what I expect from an induction hob. No complaints so far, no error messages - yet! Price was brilliant - excellent value for what appears to be a quality product. The cooling fans can be a bit noisy but you filter it out after a while. Build quality is fine and seems sturdy. Appearance is smart with plenty of pan space on each ring. One note ... make sure you have induction compatible pans .... I thought mine were ... but weren't! Was a good excuse to get some pans though. I found a quick rough guess to see if your pans will work on an induction hob. If you have a magnet offer it up to the base of the pan. If it sticks then they may well work, if it doesn't then they will probably not. None of my pans worked with the magnet and they didn't work on the hob. The new pans do stick and they work perfectly on the hob. Overall excellent so far. This review is from: Andrew James Digital Electric Double Induction Hob 2800 Watts Very experienced induction users but now with AGA which was out of action. So this double induction cooker was just the job. Arrived in double quick time and worked out of the box. But the instructions are a hoot! There are no fewer than 18 "Do nots" with several repetitions and sundry other "Nevers" and "Make Sures". And a clearly illegal stricture that the cooker must be returned in the original colour box for repairs under Warranty. That is not required under UK Consumer Protection Law as long as an item is sent securely packaged. No advice given on power sharing between the two hobs; you find out by experience that the first hob to be set to "10" restricts any attempt to set the other above about "6". Haven't used it comprehensively to find out all about this since the AGA is back in action for a few weeks until the summer (Ha Ha) arrives. An attractive product that works well but the instructions are almost worthless.
